Overview
Xink offers two rule modes for managing how email signatures and campaigns are applied: First-Match and All-Match. These cannot be combined, and choosing the right one depends on your business needs.
The All-Match Rule is the correct choice for companies that want to run email signature campaigns and include departmental or country-specific legal disclaimers.
Campaign Rule Modes Explained
First-Match Rule
- The system applies only the first rule that matches.
- It is ideal for one targeted campaign based on conditions like sender or recipient.
- Once a match is found, no further rules are evaluated.
- It cannot be combined with other matching rules in the same run.
Use this if you want highly targeted campaign messaging without legal disclaimers applied via rules.
All-Match Rule
- The system applies all rules that match the criteria.
- This is best suited for running a campaign and including a legal disclaimer (or any other additional signature elements).
- All matching content blocks are added to the email in campaign priority order (e.g., campaign first, disclaimer last).
Use this if you want both promotional content and a standard legal disclaimer to appear in the same email.
How to Set Up All-Match Rules
- Log in to the Xink Admin Portal
- Navigate to Rules in the Preferences menu.
- Switch the rule mode to All-Match.
- Add individual rules:
- One for your email campaign
- One for your legal disclaimer
- Set conditions for each rule (e.g., apply to all users, specific departments, etc.)
- Arrange the order if needed (campaigns typically go above disclaimers).
- Save and test by sending a sample email.
Best Practices
- Ensure the legal disclaimer block is included in all appropriate rules.
- Keep your disclaimer clear and concise.
- Regularly update campaigns to keep content fresh while keeping the disclaimer consistent.
- Use the preview tool in Xink to verify formatting and stacking order.
