Short answer:
When using server-side signatures, the email signature is applied after the email is sent. It is not visible while composing in Apple Mail on iOS.
This guide explains how to test your email signature using Apple Mail on iOS.
Requirement:
This test only works after completing the Server-Side (Rerouting) configuration.
How Server-Side Works on iOS
Apple Mail sends the email first, and then Xink applies the signature during the Microsoft 365 mail flow.
This means:
- The signature is not visible while composing.
- The signature is only visible after the email is delivered.
Testing with Apple Mail (iOS)
By default, the iOS Mail app includes the signature “Sent from my iPhone”.
During server-side processing, this text is typically replaced by your Xink signature.
Important: Email Format
Apple Mail uses Plain Text by default.
When using Plain Text:
- Only simple text replacement is possible
- Full HTML signatures (images, formatting, banners) will not render correctly
To enable full HTML signatures, switch the email format to HTML:

Test Steps
- Open Apple Mail on your iPhone.
- Compose a new email (the signature will not be visible).
- Send the email to yourself or a test inbox.
- Open the received email and verify that the Xink signature is applied.
Expected Result
- The default iPhone signature is removed.
- Your Xink signature is inserted in the correct position.
- The signature appears only in the received email—not during composition.
