Short answer:
When using server-side signatures, the email signature is applied after the email is sent. It is not visible while composing in the Android Mail app.
This guide explains how to test your Xink email signature using the native Mail app on Android.
Requirement:
This test only works after completing the Server-Side (Rerouting) configuration.
How Server-Side Works on Android
The Android Mail app sends the email first, and Xink applies the signature during the Microsoft 365 mail flow.
This means:
- The signature is not visible while composing.
- The signature is only visible after the email is delivered.
Test using the Android Mail app
- Set up your Microsoft 365 account in the Mail app on your Android device.
Learn how to set up your Microsoft 365 email account - Open the Mail app settings and edit your email signature.
- Enter the following placeholder:
{EMAILSIGNATURE} - Send a test email.
During processing, Xink will replace {EMAILSIGNATURE} with the user’s default signature.
Example: Signature placeholder in Android Mail

Example: Email before sending

Expected Result
- The placeholder {EMAILSIGNATURE} is removed.
- Your Xink signature is inserted automatically.
- The signature appears only in the received email—not during composition.
