Set Up Xink Email Signatures in Salesforce

Short answer:
Xink can apply default email signatures to emails sent directly from Salesforce for supported editions. An administrator only needs to enable and link the Salesforce integration once.

Supported Salesforce editions

This feature is available for the following Salesforce editions:

  • Enterprise
  • Unlimited
  • Developer
  • Performance

Other editions are not supported because they do not include the required API access. Learn more on Salesforce Support.

Note: Salesforce enforces a maximum email signature length of 1333 characters.

Set up the Salesforce integration

Only an administrator needs to complete these steps. Once configured, signatures will automatically sync for employees sending emails from Salesforce.

  1. Log in to your Xink account and go to Preferences.
  2. Open the Integration tab and select Salesforce in the left menu.

  3. Enable Salesforce Integration. A Salesforce login field will appear.

  4. Click Link Salesforce. You will be redirected to the Salesforce authorization page.
    Sign in with a Salesforce administrator account. Only one administrator needs to link the account for the entire organization.

  5. After successful authentication, you will return to the Xink integration page. Your Salesforce login will appear in the field.
    Click Save to complete the setup.

The signature assigned in Xink will now sync to the user’s Salesforce account.

Set up a new Salesforce integration

  1. Disable the current Salesforce integration and click Save.
  2. Disable integration
  3. Open the Integration tab again and enable the integration for the new Salesforce account.

Verify the integration

To confirm the integration is working:

  1. Log in to Salesforce.
  2. Open your email settings and review the signature.
  3. Confirm it matches the signature assigned in Xink.

Troubleshooting

  • Error code (-1) — GeneralError: The signature exceeds Salesforce’s 1333-character limit.
  • Error code (2) — NotFound: The mailbox was not found in the Salesforce account.
