Remove Blue Link Styling in Outlook Signatures

Short answer:
Email clients like Outlook automatically turn links blue and underlined. You can override this styling in Xink using the designer or by applying custom HTML styles.

By default, many email clients—including Outlook—automatically convert email addresses and URLs into blue, underlined links.

In Outlook, this styling is often only visible after the email is sent. This can cause your email signature to look different from what you designed, potentially affecting your brand consistency.

If this default formatting does not match your corporate design, you can override it using Xink’s built-in designer or by editing the HTML directly.

How to remove blue link styling using the designer

Follow the steps in the video below to style your links correctly in the Xink designer:

Need more control?

If you prefer working with HTML, you can remove the default link styling using inline CSS.

For example:

<a href="mailto:email@company.com" style="color:#000000; text-decoration:none;">email@company.com</a>

This allows you to define your own colours and remove the underline.

See our guide to styling email links for more advanced examples.

Tip

Always test your signature after sending an email, especially in Outlook, to confirm that the styling appears as expected.
