Outlook roaming signatures

Microsoft plans to introduce roaming signatures, a new feature for Outlook for Windows. Outlook will no longer store the signatures in the local Outlook profile. Instead, the signatures are stored in the user mailbox, making them available on all devices with the user’s email account.

When Microsoft launch this new feature, it's automatically enabled for all Microsoft 365 users > Microsoft Roadmap.

Microsoft will not "break" Xink signatures or substitute them in any way.

Instead, Microsoft makes it more difficult for organisations to maintain a consistent brand since the signatures created by the staff will also show on their mobile devices.
Microsoft does NOT introduce central management of email signatures, AD integration, dynamic signatures, signature campaigns and other features you are familiar with in your Xink account.

A quick comparison
Outlook roaming signatures feature does not help companies to enforce a consistent brand and run campaigns. Take a look at the table below to compare native signature cloud settings in Outlook with the Xink email signature web portal.

  • FYI -

Microsoft moved the launch date to July 2022.

  • Microsoft started to update Outlook on Windows.

You must use the Xink client v3.2.23.1 (and later) or the add-in, which we recommend you migrate to since it also works on Outlook on Mac and Outlook on the web.
