In fact, you only need to install it if you have users using Outlook on Windows/Mac or Apple Mail on Mac and they need to see their email signature as they compose their emails.
When you setup Server Side (Rerouting) with Office 365, you can apply the default/reply email signature at the server. Then the signature is visible to the recipients.
